Miny Schotter, a fifteen year old Hebrew teenager, is the
identified client. Yet, it is her legally blind but "seeing" mother,
Shinder Schotter, that seems to need all the attention. Shinder is
a legally blind woman, mother of Miny. The two live with
Shindler's mother near Dr. Rev. Stephanie Clemente's
Ward, Colorado United Church of Christ (UCC) church. Even
though they are Reformed Hebrews, they attend there regularly.
They seek Rev. Clemente's help and the Caper begins. To learn
about this atypical situation, Rev. Clemente invites herself to
dinner with the three of them. Dialogue and conceptual
information on the importance of good support systems and
aspects of Hebrew culture are interwoven.
Stephanie confronts and supports Miny in order to get matters
under control. She gets a member of the church, Herlinda, to
volunteer to work with Shindler in a team approach, a very
important intervention. With this approach, life gets better for
the two quickly.
In the second section, Sue Shinner seeks help from Nadi's 'Tea,
Tastes and Tales' group on her husband Sam's depression. Sue
learns about the typical treatment processes for depression--
and the faulty assumptions that can be made along the way
examined. Sam recovers in an amazing way.

believe works.

The two Upton Parents are school ordered to family counseling
because their six year old daughter Regina is a major bully in her
first grade class and has been kicked out of school indefinitely

and is assigned to the family. She makes a home visit and finds
out how often and much the six year old controls this family.
Major family interventions are needed and provided. They
have an immediate impact & help the parents make some
structural changes. A family therapy structural model, used in a
way that the family understands, guides the interesting
interaction in the family and with Ms. Sinclair.
Later in the day, Stephanie Clemente talks via web conferencing
with Dr. Prince, her clinical and pastoral supervisor, and shares
her feelings and thoughts over her recent personal trauma.
Chapter Nineteen:
Babies to Toddlers to Teenagers.
A variety of situations continue to play out.
One focus is on how babies come into the world with a common
basic set of 'emotional tunnels' as a brain/mind structure and
how they develop according to early life experiences. Than, later
on in life, the Toodler, then the Child and then the Teenager have
a certain type of feeling because they have a tunnel of
preference.
